Q: How much does shipping cost?

A: Free shipping on all orders above $75 if delivery is within Australia. We also offer a range of free shipping items. More information on express shipping and international shipping can be found here

Q: Can I return/exchange my purchase? 

A: Yes. More information can be found here

Q: How long does it take to process orders?

A: All orders will be dispatched within 24 business hours. You won't be charged any handling fees. 

Q: Do you deliver to Post Office Boxes?

A: Yes we do! 

Q: Who does the delivery for you?

A: We use Australia Post because they have the most delivery options and the most reliable delivery service in Australia. 

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: You can use Visa, Mastercard, bank deposit or Paypal. Our bank account details will be displayed at the last step of check out if you choose to pay via bank deposit. 

Q: Is it safe to shop with you?

A: Yes! We understand the concerns of our customers, and we take security and privacy matters seriously. You can check that you are in secure encryption mode if your browser displays a padlock symbol in the header or footer of the browser window. 

Your financial details are processed through this website securely using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is the most widely deployed security protocol used today. It is used to secure online credit card transactions and protect your personal information. 

Q: How do I track my order?

A: We will send you an email with a tracking number once your order is dispatched (except for free shipping items). You can also create an account with us for easier management of all your orders. You can track your order on Australia Post's website. Note that the tracking number may not appear on the website immediately after your order is dispatched. 

Q: Can I "send to a friend"?

A: Of course you can! Simply provide us the recipient's delivery name and address details at checkout. We will not send the invoice.

Q: Do you offer gift wrap and gift message service?

A: Yes we do! We offer complementary handwritten gift message service with every gift wrap purchase. You can choose gift wrap at individual product level. Click here to read more.

Q: Can I buy gift vouchers?

A: Of course you can! You can purchase gift vouchers here for up to $1,000 each for Birthday, Christmas etc. 

Q: Do you do wholesale?

A: Please contact us directly for wholesale discounts. 

Q: How do I use a discount coupon?

A: Coupons can be applied during the checkout process. If you have a coupon, please make sure that you insert the code before the final payment. Only one coupon code may be used per order.

Q: Are you a not-for-profit?

A: Yes! All our profits are used to buy more fair trade products and support local and international charities. Our mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.    

Q: Are you a charity?

A: Yes! We are a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and the Australian Taxation Office. We strictly follow a charitable purpose of reducing poverty. We achieve this purpose by giving artisans in developing countries opportunities to earn income that pays for food, education, healthcare and housing. In addition, part of our profits are donated to local and international charities.

A: Yes we are! We have been endorsed as a Fair Trader of Australia by the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand

Q: How big is Oz Fair Trade?

A: Oz Fair Trade is currently a one woman operation. I would love to have some helpers down the track!

Q: How do I care for the handmade products?

A: Handmade products require and deserve a bit more care, and we have some suggestions here.

Q: You sell indigo dyed products. Will the colour come off during washing? How should I care for these products?

A: All our indigo dyed products are hand dyed with natural indigo through painstaking hard work. We believe in the many benefits of natural dyes, and so do our artisans. Therefore these products deserve a better care. With proper care, they will not only fade more slowly than synthetically dyed products, but more beautifully. Please read our care instructions.
